Mindfully Chic is a mental health and wellness platform focused on nervous system regulation and overcoming chronic conditions.
I was called to create this space after dealing with a laundry list of chronic conditions and debilitating symptoms, including cluster headaches, chronic vestibular migraine, occipital neuralgia, IBS, TMJ, persistent dizziness, brain fog, anxiety... and the list goes on. What started as a wellness journey through herbal remedies and healthy foods (which are very important) led to a deep, important discovery - all of these external treatments were not going to help my symptoms until I focused on the root issue, nervous system dysregulation.
Regulating your nervous system teaches your brain to react appropriately to both internal and external environments. It helps you build the capacity to handle all of life's circumstances, both positive and negative.
At Mindfully Chic, we believe that regulating your nervous system can be achieved by focusing on three pillars:
Learning that you are safe.
Believing that you are safe.
Living in safety.
Though not everyone develops chronic pain, chronic illness, or chronic stress, most people deal with nervous system dysregulation at some point in their lives. Even if they don't realize it. This is why it's so important for everyone to prioritize their mental health through means such as mindfulness, self-care, processing emotions, setting boundaries, and identifying your core values to align with your authentic self.
This is all at the core of Mindfully Chic's definition of mental health and wellness.
Taking a holistic yet scientific approach to healing, Mindfully Chic provides education on the mind-body connection, practical mindfulness and cognitive reframing techniques, and relatable and accessible guidance towards healing the mind, body, and spirit.
